Before painting the fitness equipment, all parts are carefully removed—plastic covers, upholstery, rollers, cables, metal weights, guide rods (which move the weights), and all stickers are peeled off.
The guide rods, which facilitate the movement of weights, are professionally galvanized. Each weight plate is repainted individually, typically in black, to ensure a fresh and uniform appearance.
After painting, the equipment is reassembled with restored upholstery, a new cable, new plastic parts, and covers. New stickers are applied, and the equipment is inspected and tested thoroughly before being handed over to the customer.
Process of Restoring a Fitness Machine:
- 1. Disassembly of the Equipment:
- All components of the equipment, including the frame, seats, upholstery, and other parts, are carefully disassembled. This step ensures a high-quality paint job for all parts and prevents damage to other components.
- Removal of Old Paint and Contaminants:
- The disassembled parts are cleaned of old paint and dirt. Typically, sandblasting is used, which effectively removes old paint and rust and prepares the surface for a new paint coat.
- Surface Preparation:
- After sandblasting, the surfaces of the parts are degreased and cleaned to ensure the best adhesion for the new paint. Any surface imperfections, such as dents or scratches, are repaired.
- Priming:
- A primer layer is applied to the prepared surface. Priming enhances the adhesion of the paint to the metal and protects it from corrosion. All parts are primed at room temperature and then dried.
- Painting:
- Painting is carried out with high-quality industrial paints. It is essential to maintain an optimal temperature of approximately 20-25°C in the paint booth to ensure even application and quick drying of the paint.
- The paint is applied in several layers to achieve the desired color and thickness. Each layer is carefully dried before applying the next one.
- Coating with Protective Lacquer (if required):
- After painting, the parts can be coated with a protective lacquer to ensure additional durability and protection from external influences.
- Restoration of Upholstery:
- All seats and padding of the equipment that are worn out or damaged are replaced or restored. This includes replacing the covers, padding, and possible wood or metal bases to ensure comfort and longevity.
- Reassembly of the Equipment:
- Once the paint is completely dry and hardened, all parts are reassembled. Special attention is given to precise assembly to ensure that all components fit correctly and function without gaps.
- Final Inspection:
- The assembled equipment undergoes a final inspection for functionality and paint quality. We ensure that all mechanisms work flawlessly and that the exterior coating meets high-quality standards.
